I support......

      I support The Blessing barn because if you donate food, clothes, etc, They give it away for FREE!! For people who did not have enough money to buy anything. Isn't that amazing? I could never do that on my own. My family and three other families are going to go on the 4th of May on a Sunday. And I just went there and helped organized cloths a couple days ago.

Allergies

      Have you ever had allergy tests it as not as bad as you think. They just put little toothpick like things in your back it does not break the skin though. The lower on your back (if you get it on your back) is the worst. The higher is not as bad. The allergy tests I got were well only enviremental things like the weather changing, and different things. They also write letters on your back to tell were the different medicines. It is ok I guess, it is not that fun but it's not that

MAP Testing

  So today I did map testing and went up 2 points from last year!!! I got 231 and last year I got 229. This year I have 13 people from last year in my class and Mr. Johnson again! For reading I got 129 I also went up 2 points from last year (227). So far I had a good year in 5th grade. I like my class and ya. This year I am doing this 40 book challenge thing where you have to read 40 books by the end of the year. So far I have read 9 chapter books with each 100 pages. I am reading 2 series A Swiftly Tilting Planet and Hatchet. They each have 5 books in the series. I am leaving for Florida on Saturday and I am so excited! I am going to get double ears pierced. 

What adults NEED to know!!!

What adults NEED HAVE to know about us kids.

1. We have to have a little bit of sugar every day.
2. Sometimes we do not like to show our feelings.
3. If we don't want to do something PLEASE don't make us do it.
4. If we are grouchy make us smile.
5. If we are playing with our siblings and we usually don't play and we are annoying leave us alone.
6. Let us play outside any time.
7. Sometimes we can be over exaggerative.
8.  I know that us kids sometimes get mad or sad easily.
9. You adults need to not be so over protective sometimes.
10. We don't usually lie except some mean and rude kids.

That is my prospective from everything.....some peoples might be a little different in opinions but that is mine.

My Sleep Over

      So at the sleep over the games we played were tag, a wrecking ball game, toilet tag, freeze tag, exhausted, and hide and go seek. We did a craft we did the first letter of our name and we had to put words that described us. All of us took the words out of magazines. I put Love, I will light up every room I walk in, post :-), and read. It has swirls and bows. I am going to hang it up on my door to my room. We also watched Hugo it ended at 12:00, then I read from Where the Red Fern Grows. Then I fell asleep at about 1:00. I had a fun time at the Church sleep over.

      I thought that it was inspiring, and made me feel proud of everything I have done. The reason I did this or saw this video is because it is inspiring and also al the teachers in the school had all of the kids watch this. Please tell me what you think in the comments.

Science and Scientists

      Science can sometimes be weird. Like trying to have Robots. Today I got my year book and in it Scientists made a human Robot that can talk, breath, and walk and cost 1 million dollars! How freaky? Also there is this article about a car that has airbags that "POP" out the sides this increases 40% of car crashes.  There is also this bionic ear that Scientists from Princeton University made the has cow tissue and parts from a 3D printer. It can also hear 1 million times better than the human ear! How crazy is that? Have you ever seen a thermometer patch all you do is stick it on your arm and it measures you temperature to the hundredths place! How incredible! What is Visionary technology? Well it is a lens that you put in your eye like a contact and it zooms in and out when you look at something! Have you ever seen that? 3D Toothbrush, the Blizzident Toothbrush is a model of some one's teeth and it is made with 3D printing. Users bite down and grit their teeth for 6 seconds and their teeth are sparkly clean! It sells for $299.00, that is a lot of money for a toothbrush! Our year books have a lot of information. Like Chart Toppers, Trends, All About Me, Scoreboard, Tech Topics, Science and discoveries, and Headline News. Tonight I am going to a Church sleep over I hope it is fun in fact I know it will be!

   Can you crack the code? It is a really good movie some people do not believe it because well I don't know but I believe it! It is a true story based on a book which I read. It came out 4/16/14. Right before Good Friday and Easter Sunday. It is about a boy, something extraordinary happens and his parents do not know what to think. I am not telling you anything more about this movie. The reason why I did this "Code" thing is because in gym we are doing "Mission Impossible" it is fun in some ways and some not. We have to figure out codes. Kind of like a secret mission. I will post the answer tomorrow after noon. 

Where The Red Fern Grows

      Have you ever read the book "Where The Red Fern Grows"? I school Mr. Johnson has a reading group with me and my friends and we just started reading Where The Red Fern Grows. Like just started reading it! It sounds sad from what I have heard. Do you think it is sad? I am only on the third page of this book. I am also reading some other books called "A Friend Called Anne" It is Anne Frank's friend's (Jacqueline Van Maarsen) perspective of all of it (Author: Jacqueline Van Maarsen retold for children by Carol Ann Lee) . I am also reading "Rules" it is a very good book so far, it is about a girl and her brother is autistic her has therapy and she meets a guy in a wheelchair who can't speak (Author: Cynthia Lord). It's really about their relation ship. All of these books are really good I recommend them for a good chapter book.

      This song feels jumpy and happy it has the perfect title!! My mom says "It makes my feet want to dance!!". I don't know?!?! The song is by Pharrell Williams. If you think it sounds familiar it is from the movie "Despicable Me 2". Really good movie I recommend it. Please tell me what you think.

College

      Have you ever thought about College? College is something our school thinks is very important. At our school we have "TAC" days in the morning all the teachers have a meeting and principle talks to the kids at our school. Today we had one, we talked about College. We also talked about having a plan in life and how it leads us. I want to be an Interior designer, or a teacher. I like designing things and teaching people, but they have their differences. College is important and I know that it is just in 12 years. I don't feel ready yet to talk about all of this stuff. I know someone who is in high school ( a 9th grader) and they just started talking about College. I guess I have to think a lot about this stuff. Everything I guess is based around College and your degree/job you get in the future, also the College you go to. I will make a poll on which state you went to or want  to go College.

Nervous For Something!!!

      "MAP" testing is coming up. I am a little nervous about my test score I have to get a high one. Mr. Johnson is trying really to help us but some people in my class are goofing around and they just don't care. I do though, and it is hard to pay attention when people are not and making jokes. They cheat and copie other people so Mr. Johnson had a big conversation on not to cheat or copy.  I don't. Also I need your opinion Mr. Johnson needs help because these girls in my class goof around in the girl's bathroom. His needs some good ideas for management I guess. Like a shaporone or two people at once but having a shaporone would be wierd and unfair. I hope I do good!

Field Trip #2 (The Orchestra Sings)

      Last Wednesday I went on a Feild trip to "The Orchestra Sings" or just the Orchestra. We played the recorder, sang and danced. We also sat in the front row, it was close but we could see pretty good. I wish we could of sat on the balacony, but no one sat up there. It was a little bit boring it was about 20 to 30 mins. I would say that the bus ride was better (It was an hour each way) because my mom let me bring my Nook it is like a tablet but smaller and better. My Best Friend (BF) Ashley sat next to me. We listened to music on the bus and we played "Hour of Code" it is a really fun and challenging game we tried to beat eachother. To eat we went to "Memorial Hall" It was fun too, Mr. Johnson played there one time as a band. Lunch was good me, Katrina, and Ashley made up a name for his band the "Pickel Club"!!! How funny Katrina thought that it was his actual band name. She was wrong. All in all in was a good time we had some laughs.

Field Trip

      I went to a Flied Trip last Wednesday. I am also going on one in two days I am going to an orchestra. The field trip was about "Shrek the Musical". My friend Zach was in it he was "Micheal" from "Peter Pan". It was fun but a lot of singing and dancing is very "Cheesy". I don't know why I think that but singing randomly is just wierd for me /:-| (confused Smiley!!). Does it feel wierd for you or uncomfortable I will make a poll so you can choose!!!

I am Canadian!

     I wrote this a little bite late but I am a canadian citizen! My mom did all of the paper work and things ;-). I am also going to be able to get a canadian passport. I connot believe it I am so happy!!!!!!!!!!! Mr. Johnson sometimes makes fun of me because I am Canadian (It is a friendly tease though). On Monday Mr. Johnson split his pants playing four-square outside. When we had our last fire drill Mr. Johnson was streaching/bending down and I said "don't split your pants" and  part of the class was laughing. It was very funny!! ;-)  My mom's side of the family is canadian my dad's side is american and a little bite of Irish.

Next year

             Well I now that next year is not till a long time but I really meant the school year next year if that makes sense it is almost over. For 5 grade I want a really nice teacher like Miss Finnan! My friend has her and said that she is very nice. My sister wants Mr. J (Mr. Johnson) for a teacher. A friend I know also wants him but I do not know if he will make it though the school year he is kind of a trouble maker and Mr. J does not like trouble makers.

Tennis

                Have you ever taken tennis? I started a couple of weeks ago. I t is really fun! I have a coach named John. He is really funny he lets us make up names for the week like an animal name. I was a pig I packed a pig because they are my favorite animal. They are cute, they snort, are pink, watch TV, and litsen to music how cute is that! We learned ups, downs, over hand serves, volleys, and steps and freezes. It is really fun I think I  have 6 people in my group (not including me 7 total). I go on Saturdays at 1:00 at Centegra health and fitness. I hope you learned some things or found something intresting.

Guitar

       I have been taking guitar lessons for the last couple of weeks and I love it I really recimend it as an insturment. There are a lot of cords. You can do a bunch of different things on it too. The only song I can play is Our God Is An Awesome God though I am going to learn two other songs. They are Shine Your Way and Happy. I can not wait to learn them I have my guitar lessons on Mondays at 6:00.I did a talent show with my friend Emma and we played Our God Is An Awesome God. We played at our church. See you next time!!
